Every great flavor has a history, and ours begins in a charred oak barrel. For years, these wooden barrels aged a spicy, craft rye whiskey from our friends at Big Spring Spirits in Bellefonte, PA, absorbing its deep, peppered warmth. Once the whiskey was emptied, we filled those exact barrels with our rich, pure Brookfield maple syrup and let time work its magic.
As it rested, the natural, velvety sweetness of the maple mellowed the dry, oaky heat of the rye. The result is a beautifully balanced, barrel-aged syrup with a captivating contrast of sweet and spice.
